Using installation as the main means of expression, Miro Kasama has been investigating phenomena such as space, time and memory, which can be perceived in terms of the relationship with the surrounding environment. For the Embroidery series, "Wormholes" made on old books are set as the origin of investigation. Old books, worms that shared the space and time with the book passing through the pages as their life space, and the artist who tries to patch the hole with the embroidery threads. Three different beings from different time, with different experiences and intentions are overlapping and being connected with one another in one picture. With the light breaking through the paper, wormholes shine like starlights. Text strings lose their meanings because of these holes, and approach closer to being "imageries." Furthermore, on once-flat pages, there exists the sense of depth that allows the viewers to see through the scenery beyond, opening the dimension door from 2D to 3D. Thus, Kasama skillfully sets up circumstances in which a relationship between phenomena causes changes through mutual influence. By following and connecting the vestiges left in various dimensions, Kasama intends to create spatial installations that allow viewers to reconsider their own complicated and rich relationship with the world surrounding them.
